CONTOUR PRODUCTS (MAKEUP FOREVER SCULTPTING KIT #4 & MAYBELLINE DREAM SMOOTH MOUSSE)

Maybelline Dream Smooth  Mousse
Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse

Makeup Forever's Sculpting Kit (#4) is designed specifically for contouring your face. The dark side is for applying along the sides of the forehead, directly under the cheek bones, along the jawline and down the sides of the nose. This is not required, but typically where you'd minimize these parts of your face. The light side is for anywhere the sun naturally hits. Down the bridge of the nose, on the tops of your cheeks, along the brown bone, or above the lips for a more fuller look. It's a matte base product and the texture is a soft powder feel.

It isn't often that I gravitate towards "powder-like" products, but I went into Sephora with an open mind as you know, you'll never know until you try! I tend to use stick concealers or cream to powder compacts, 2-3 shades darker then my skin tone, when using the contour effect. My initial thoughts of this product were based on how natural it would appear, but unfortunately it developed an unwanted red undertone to my complexion causing it to look very ruddy. The end result, if you are going to purchase this product consider trying all four to achieve the tone you are looking for.

On my journey to finding a product that would give me a very natural look, I came across Maybelline's Dream Smooth Mousse in 350 Caramel (The darkest color among the range). My sister who actually introduced me to this product, recommended this to me. I absolutely love it! It has become my daily go to product. It has a very light-weight texture and glides on smoothly. Hence, Dream "Smooth" Mousse. This is however the darkest shade and my complexion is 3-4 shades lighter then the actual color. I can easily blend this with my foundation if I want a more sun-kiss overall glow (especially in the winter!) and it still gives me a very natural look. You can't see the product once applied, but make sure you blend it in nicely as with any other bronzing/contouring product. Until then....Happy beauty hunting!

P.s. The pictures are a bit poor quality! I'm on the search for a better camera! Thanks for your patience!
